Society for Risk Analysis Europe Nordic Chapter invites to the yearly meeting of risk researchers and practitioners. Conference will provide interdisciplinary forum to discuss current research  on risk assessment, risk perception, risk communication, risk management, and policy relating to risk.  

The dramatic impacts of the global COVID-19 pandemic struck at the heart of our local settings, across all regions of the EU. Governments at all levels, in particular, local and regional authorities, have been called upon to provide emergency services, coordinate efforts and mitigate as far as possible the impact on citizens and economies.

Tuesday 9 June 2020 09:00 – 12:00 CET. The H2020 BuildERS (Building European Communities’ Resilience and Social Capital) project is celebrating its first year with a Gotomeeting!

Technology is a great asset when designing the smart cities of future, but the core idea is to offer better and more sustainable living for residents and businesses. Citizen participation was strongly emphasised in the Light of Knowledge (Tiedon valoa) event that opened the Tampere Smart City Week. 

The Module Exercises (MODEX) are financed by the Directorate-General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (DG ECHO) and are part of an exercises series within the EU Civil Protection Mechanism. More info here

The theme of the 2020 seminar was related to the sense of security of different population groups, as well as security innovations, new knowledge about security, and practices and tools to promote security at the local and regional level. 

In the IZEW Research Colloquium, projects and topics from the field of Ethics in the Sciences and Humanities were discussed, both from the IZEW and from other institutions within and outside the University of Tübingen.

The 8th workshop on the European Security Research Programme with a focus on civil security in Horizon Europe

The Security Research Event is the annual meeting where industry, governments and knowledge institutions come together to discuss the state of play and current challenges for security research in Europe, and where EU funded security-related projects are on show.
