Aiming to help build disaster-resilient societies, the CORE projects will identify best practices in disaster preparedness by looking at seven past case studies. The project will provide optimised actions and harmonised solutions to rebuild the socio-economic structures after a disaster. At the same time, the project will define common metrics related to the different types of disaster and how to mitigate their impact. CORE boasts a transdisciplinary collaboration between environmental science and social science communities.
